PROVO, Utah — The Provo City School District announced a new initiative to empower Latina youth Friday.

Partnering with Ella Rises, the new program will provide free art and leadership workshops for girls between 14-18 years of age (8-12 grades).

The district's Diversity and Equity Department says the workshops are "aimed at helping Latino youth feel safe, seen, heard, understood, brave, and empowered."

Students interested need to CLICK HERE to sign-up for the free workshops before Monday.
